Support Erik's grassroots work for DiEM25 Greece

On Wednesday I set off again. After just a few days off I’m ready to continue my endeavour to multiply the number of local teams of volunteers we will rely on to bring our message before the European elections - bypassing the oligarchy-dominated media, constantly boycotting us.

Travelling through Greece is not easy. 80% of the country is made-up of mountains: getting anywhere means long and winding roads. It is also not easy psychologically, especially for a Greek of my generation who grew up in what appeared like a prosperous state, only to realise in sadness about the mismanagement of our economy and its impact on people, in combination with the austerity forced upon by the Troika.

Greeks are desperate for change; this was obvious in each of the tens of meetings I held to set local teams up. That’s why I keep going: because I’ve heard many Greeks asking to be given their dignity back. But to do this DiEM25 had to fund me, spending more than 3870€. Fuel (I volunteered my own car), hotel rooms, ferry tickets, food, venues, leaflets, tolls… the expenses are many.

When I start the third phase of this endeavour on Wednesday 9 January, I’ll be needing much financial support again - at least up to 2650 €.

Can you support this project with a few euros?
