Muito do que vivemos ao nível local tem raízes mais profundas. Por vezes isso estende-se muito para lá da nossa cidade ou região. Porque é que não temos habitação acessível, porque é que temos de deixar a nossa zona para ir em busca de trabalho, porque é que assistimos à deliberada destruição do nosso ambiente. Muitas das decisões que determinam as nossas políticas locais têm origem em espaços nacionais ou Europeus e são fortemente influenciados pelos lobbies das multinacionais. Assim acreditamos que é necessário enfrentar os desafios de frente e estabelecer um movimento internacional construindo uma rede de solidariedades e justiça.

Um movimento assim apenas vive das pessoas e do seu empenho partilhado. 

 

É por isso que gostaria de vos convidar para participarem numa breve introdução, no dia 19/01/2021 pelas 19:30 (WET) ao nosso movimento o DiEM25 (sigla para Democracia na Europa Movimento 2025) e acima de tudo para falar de como o DiEM25 pode ser a tua infraestrutura para uma mudança progressista.

Many struggles one experiences on the local level have larger, more fundamental roots. Something that extends far beyond your city or even region. Why we don’t have affordable housing, why we have to leave home to find work and the deliberate destruction of our environment. Further, many of the decisions that determine the political direction of one’s home take place either in national or European institutions, or are influenced by multinational companies. Thus, we believe it is necessary to face the challenges on eye level and establish an international movement by building up a network of solidarity and for justice.

Such a movement only lives and breathes with its peoples shared commitment. That’s why we would like to invite you to a brief introduction on the 19/01/2021 at 19h30 of our movement Diem25 (short for ‘Democracy in Europe Movement 2025’) and, most of all, talk about how Diem25 can be your infrastructure for progressive change. The event will take place on Zoom and the link will be shared upon registration.
