Imagining an Ecological Transition: DiEM25 & the Green New Deal

The Event

https://www.facebook.com/events/975181466012709/

Join us as we get down to the dirty work in writing the key components of the Green New Deal for Europe.

This promises to be a fantastic, stimulating event where we collectively come up with solutions to the greatest problems facing our planet: sustainable growth, ecocide, agricultural reform.

DiEM25 will be presenting its unique approach to the Ecological Transition the world needs, as well as asking you to participate in designing our plan for Europe’s environmental future. From radical constructive disobedience to realistic policy work, there is a lot to be done. And the clock is ticking.

The event will be held at the Reading International Solidarity Centre in the main hall from 15.00-17.00. We will be tackling the importance of genetically modified organisms, patents and research in agriculture, and how these combine with with climate and in combatting already present environmental damage. This will be a moderated open discussion, prefaced by an introduction, with climate experts on hand throughout.
