The Event

On October 16th starting at 20hrs the DSC Amsterdam organizes a meeting for DiEM25 members. Interested people can also participate. 

We are going to talk about  the main aspects and aims of the GNDE and to translate it into a Dutch situation.

Typical Dutch problem is the very low share of renewables in the Netherlands, only 6%. And the neoliberal government  is responsible for the doubling or the air traffic in the last ten years, the absence of a good waste policy (organic waste are burned causing CO2 emissions and a lot of pollution).  Travelling by plane is extremely cheap while travelling by train is very expensive and good international connections have been dismantled. On top of it Amsterdam decided to cut 1800 old trees, in many cases healthy, with vague arguments. Instead of cutting emissions we are doubling the air traffic and cutting our precious trees…

We hope to meet other DiEMers and to discuss with them  these important issues.
