The Event

“Immigration center”, “Repatriation center” and others are many of the definitions used by our and other European governments for what rational people would simply call prisons or concentration camps. In these camps people are deprived of their freedom and the most basic human rights. At the same time these camps are a symbol of institutionalization of crual treatment of human beings.

We invite you to join us in screening the documentary “Castaway souls”, a documentary from the Sjælsmark camp, followed by a panel discussion with:

- A person living in the Sjælsmark camp

- An organizer from Close the Camps

- Jakob Marmota, DiEM25 member and co-writer of DiEM25's immigration policy paper
