At this session of counter-narratives we'll discuss "Less is More: How Degrowth will Save the World" by Jason Hickel (the pdf is downloadable for free online).

In this book Jason Hickel takes everything we've been taught about growth and development, and turns it on its head. The book offers a radical but attainable vision of a post-growth future and a post-capitalist economy that's more just, more caring, and more fun! A world where, by taking less, we become more. To get there we first need to reject the dogmas of capitalism.

Everyone attending should read the works beforehand, but it's OK if you don't manage to finish in time. The discussion will be open and informal – without presentations or guidance, as we're all equally in the process of learning.
