On the other side of the Atlantic, writer Naomi Klein, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, US presidential candidate Bernie Sanders and social movements like the Sunrise Movement have called for the 2020s to be the Decade of the Green New Deal.

On the European continent, the Democracy in Europe Movement 2025 (DiEM25) advances the Green New Deal agenda. Let's get together, develop and implement solutions to the three crises of austerity, democracy and climate as well as ecological breakdown to create a more sustainable, social and democratic world in 2030.

Let this be the beginning of the decade of the Green New Deal.

Diem25 Belgium invites you to a kick-off presentation of our Green New Deal for Europe, conducted by our activist Brice Montagne, in Leuven. Jan Tobias Mühlberg from Extinction Rebellion Belgium will also say a few introductory remarks.
