DiEM25 was created as the next step in alternative politics: beyond demonstrations and petitions, towards solutions and ways to apply them. One of those ways is through our MERA25s: our movement’s political parties, because when we get DiEMers into office, like we did in Greece, we have real power and influence.
Our movement’s staff and volunteers across Europe will give everything they’ve got to create parties that can truly represent DiEM25’s ideas and politics. With authentic, grassroots campaigns and zero corporate or EU money.
However, our strategy, volunteers and candidates also depend on your financial support. When we cannot raise enough funds, we must scale back our plans, and our MERA25 parties don’t get the support they need to win – legal services, promotional material, travel expenses, all cost a lot of money.
Can you help us cover these expenses? It might not feel like it, but any amount you can give will make a massive difference to the work of our volunteers, and ultimately will determine whether the DiEM25 project will have any chance to influence the terrifying direction Europe has taken.
